Here's the new tea towel design "tweet! tweet!....hand screen printed tea towels on lovely 100% white cotton. It had the same image at each end of the tea towel.

Upholstery Course

I'm doing a 10 weeks upholstery course at Trowbridge College, after 3 weeks into my upholstery course, this is how far I've got. There were a lot of nails and staples to removed!

First stage is to remove the cover, nails and staples.

Holes filled,sanded and ready to paint!

Cover with platform fabric and the webbing is next.

Stitching along the hessian so you can tuck the hair under.

Hairy chairs!

Working on 2 chairs at the same time.

Fine layer of cotton wadding, made from cotton and wool.

Stretched and re-streched with fine calico until there's no sagging. 

Ready for the final layer, yay!

Just got to make the trim and then all done!
